Japanese Bank to Invest $10M in The Forestias

Tokyo – Japan’s Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank (SuMi Trust Bank) will invest US$10 million in MQDC’s The Forestias, its first such investment in a Southeast Asian-based company.
24 May 2023, Tokyo – Japan’s Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank (SuMi Trust Bank) will invest US$10 million in MQDC’s The Forestias, its first such investment in a Southeast Asian-based company.

The Forestias by MQDC, the property developer within DTGO, is a green community across 64 hectares at Bangna in Bangkok.

Mr. Masaya Noda, Managing Executive Officer of SuMi Trust Bank, said the investment in the forest district aligned with the bank’s social and environmental values.

“By focusing on real estate development that addresses existential societal issues such as the relationship with nature, the aging of our society, and sustainable urban living, The Forestias corresponds to our purpose and vision,” he said.
