29 September 2023, Chonburi – MQDC’s Pattaya team joined with over 40 partners in a beach clean-up at Sattahip in Na Jomtien.

The “3rd Ocean Clean-Up” of 2023 at Kanghan Rom Beach in Ban Amphur also featured Blue Carbon Society, a non-profit supported by MQDC’s parent DTGO.

Shellhut Entertainment, local government agencies, schools, hotels, and companies took part too.

“Last Idol Thailand” contestants spoke on how to save the earth and helped pick up litter on the beach.

The clean-up aims to spread awareness of the problem of ocean waste. During the monsoon season it can greatly impact the environment and tourism.

MQDC’s Pattaya team has helped set up a community enterprise to upcycle waste and give it value.

The team is also helping establish a learning center on waste management where state agencies and companies from all over the country can study.

MQDC is also helping develop “green tourism” at Ban Amphur beach, entering the ITB TOP 100 contest to be held at Berlin in 2027.
