DTGO Shares Insights at Climate Summit

DTGO was honored to be asked to share its experience at the “GCNT Forum 2021: Thailand’s Climate Leadership Summit 2021”, where its work was presented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Singh Intrachooto, a renowned designer and recipient of the prestigious Silpathorn Award.
11 October 2021, Bangkok – DTGO was honored to be asked to share its experience at the “GCNT Forum 2021: Thailand’s Climate Leadership Summit 2021”, where its work was presented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Singh Intrachooto, a renowned designer and recipient of the prestigious Silpathorn Award.

Dr. Singh is the Chief Advisor to the Research & Innovation for Sustainability Center (RISC), a sustainability research hub with a focus on well-being set up by MQDC, the property developer within DTGO.

Held online by the Global Compact Network Thailand and United Nations Thailand with UN support, the forum gathered experts from academia, business, and government to find new solutions to climate change.

Dr. Singh joined a panel discussion on “Solutions to Address Climate Change by Relevant Business Sectors” with representatives from businesses such as SCG, Singha Estate, and Makro.

DTGO was also represented at the forum by Ms. Warunya Punawakul, its Group Chief Strategy & Trading Business Officer, and Dr. Wit Soontaranun, Vice Chairman of the DTGO-linked Buddharaksa Foundation.

DTGO is a founding member of the Global Compact Network Thailand, which gathers organizations committed to conducting business with social responsibility.

Based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Global Compact has “10 Principles” for ethical operations covering 4 key areas: human rights, labor standards, environmental protection, and anti-corruption.
