Dhanin Tawee Chearavanont Foundation and Buddharaksa Foundation Help Migrant Workers

12 January 2021, Pathum Thani – Dhanin Tawee Chearavanont Foundation and Buddharaksa Foundation, with great support from Mr. Narong Chearavanont, have donated food to ease the hardship of migrant workers from Myanmar during the COVID-19 outbreak.
DTGO-linked Dhanin Tawee Chearavanont Foundation focuses on sustainable development for vulnerable populations in Thailand and worldwide by helping provide appropriate healthcare and education and better livelihoods and environments. Buddharaksa Foundation, also associated with the group, helps underprivileged children in Thailand.

The foundations have given food including 64,800 C.P. eggs, 2,160 bag of Royal Umbrella rice (5kg bags), 21,600 cans of fish, and 17,280 packs of pickled Chinese mustard totaling 1 million baht. The food was presented to the Labour Protection Network (LPN) and received by Mr. Sompong Srakaew, the foundation’s director, with representatives of workers at the LPN office at Lat Lum Kaew.

LPN will distribute the food in aid packages to help 2,160 families suffering during the COVID-19 outbreak in areas including Samut Sakhon.

Mr. Sompong thanked Dhanin Tawee Chearavanont Foundation and Buddharaksa Foundation for helping workers who have lost income during the pandemic as projects halt to help control the spread of COVID-19. The aid packages will provide both mental and physical assistance to the workers helping everyone to overcome this situation together.
