The initiative aims to unite government, business, and civil society to reform the education system to overcome inequality, including through support for young people in the COVID-19 outbreak, which has further disrupted access to education.
Dr. Wit Soontaranun, Vice Chairman of the two DTGO-linked foundations, represented them at the event. “For over 20 years Buddharaksa Foundation and Dhanin Tawee Chearavanont Foundation have focused on opening equal educational opportunities for children and young people, so that future generations can achieve their full potential as citizens, enhancing society as well as their own and their families’ lives,” he said.
“The collaboration is a key step in extending the assistance of the foundations for children and young people who need urgent support for continued learning, including medical scholarships to build hope and encourage children to aspire to study and use their knowledge to benefit society.
“Buddharaksa Foundation and Dhanin Tawee Chearavanont Foundation will work with organizations through the project to help children in many aspects.”
