14 December 2018, Bangkok – Buddharaksa Foundation was represented by Asst. Prof. Pongporn Sudbanthad, Advisor to DTGO, and the Canal Master Plan Volunteer team along with the committee and advisors of the Thai Urban Designers Association, at the ceremony to present the ‘Urban Action 1’ boat to the Ladprao Community. Khun Jumrad Kling-Ubol, President of Ladprao 45 community, and Khun Somneng Boonlue, President of Ruem Jai Pi Boon 2, received the boat on behalf of the community. Khn Jumrad said: “This boat will be used within the community to take care of members in their daily lives and for occasions such as Buddha’s Day or funerals. The community will soon begin to develop canal tourism in the community along the Ladprao and Bang Sue canal, with over 50 canal communities taking part. I would like to thank the foundation for its great efforts for the community, because if no one gave support, the development process would be difficult. This is a good start for the community. Thank you very much.”
