DTFF announces funding to fight malaria at Singapore

19 June 2018, Bangkok – Mrs Thippaporn Ahriyavraromp, chairperson of the DT Families Foundation (DTFF), announced a major initiative by the foundation to combat malaria at the UBS Philanthropy Conference, at Singapore’s Capella Hotel on 31 May.

Mrs Ahriyavraromp shared DTFF’s commitment to help the Global Fund tackle the emerging challenge of drug-resistant malaria. New strains of the disease now spreading in the Greater Mekong threaten to reverse decades of progress in reducing malaria-related deaths worldwide.

The foundation earlier signed an agreement with the Asia Pacific Leaders Malaria Alliance (APLMA) to help eliminate malaria from Thailand, where the disease continues to fuel a spiral of deprivation in rural communities.
